Jones is proud to join the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI), our pharmacy partners and healthcare organizations across the country in celebrating Canadian Patient Safety Week (CPSW), and creating awareness around important patient safety topics.
The event takes place from October 28 to November 1 this year, with a theme of #ConquerSilence and a focus on empowering those who feel they can’t voice their concerns about patient safety.
Jones is proud promote medication safety and encourage patient discussion through medication adherence packaging, which pharmacists can use to dispense multiple medications for patients organized by the time of day and/or the day of the week doses should be taken. Not only can patients clearly see what medications they should be taking when and ask questions about their dosing regimes, but this packaging has also been shown to improve adherence rates from 61% to as much as 97% for better health outcomes (Grace et al).
