Celebrating pharmacists’ valuable contributions for Pharmacist Awareness Month

Pharmacist Awareness Month

March is Pharmacist Awareness Month (PAM) in Canada and this year, the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is celebrating with the theme, “Rethink Pharmacists.”

Jones joins the CPhA in recognizing and supporting the more than 41,000 registered pharmacists across the country and the meaningful impact they have on the healthcare system. Importantly, pharmacists provide many value-added services, from medication management and assessing minor ailments to helping manage chronic diseases and offering healthy lifestyle programs. With this in mind and in the spirit of PAM, organizations across the country are celebrating the critical everyday work of pharmacists, while also running campaigns to help Canadians “rethink pharmacists” and create awareness for the valuable support they provide to communities.

Jones has worked closely with Canadian pharmacy partners for more than 135 years to support their expanding role in clinical care. We jointly introduced the first adherence card for multi-medication dosing regimens over 30 years ago, and now offer an array of adherence packaging options that accommodate patient and pharmacy requirements:

  • Multiple formats and blister sizes for unit- or multi-dose dispensing
  • Portable dosing for patients on-the-go
  • Compatibility with pharmacy automation technology
  • Branding opportunities with custom adherence card design
  • In addition to our innovative adherence packaging, Jones offers a full range of fundamental and customizable dispensing products pharmacies need – from prescription labelsvials, and bags to bottles and jars.

Join us in extending thanks and recognition to pharmacists this month for their important role in enhancing patient safety and well-being!
